Our organization was formed in 1994 and provides Microsoft Partners a voice into Microsoft programs, to the IT community at large, as well as a vehicle to facilitate mutual growth and business development among partners. The non-profit organization is operated by an annually elected board of directors, and is funded through membership fees and sponsor grants. The IAMCP - USA has 38 chapters throughout the continental United States, including over 200 partner companies in San Diego, Irvine, and Los Angeles. Through membership meetings, social networking events and local websites, IAMCP - United States chapters link members with each other and with industry news from Microsoft.

Microsoft Community Connections (MCC) helps connect local business organizations with Microsoft Partners to educate small businesses on how current technology solutions can help them operate more efficiently and empower them to grow their business. These business organizations are of several types: SBA Resource Partners (SCORE, SBDC, and WEV), Chambers of Commerce, Business Service Organizations (Rotary International) and Business Associations (California Bar Association, California Medical Association, etc.). The chair is to establish connection with the organization, educate and support the groups, and supply software and network services to the groups.
