Speedy the Wood Turtle has joined the yard zoo.
The Wood Turtle spends a great deal of time in or near the rivers. It can also be found in forests and grasslands, but will rarely be seen more than several hundred yards from flowing water. It spends the winter in hibernation and the hottest parts of the summer in estivation (I'm learning new words).
